As has been the case from time to time, the topic of conversation turned to the subject of forecosures by MERS (Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems) and the large number of foreclosures perpetrated by MERS in Oklahoma and all other states. Mers attempts to stand in the stead of the true lender or investor in order to help them facilitate the foreclosure of property and the evasion of taxes by having them foreclose on property. They use an enormous variety of tricks and subterfuge in order to make the courts believe that they are the injured party when in fact they are not.
